James C. Estes in honor and memory of Amy Bobo Tucker

Upon graduation from Lindale High School, Amy Bobo Tucker was the recipient of a Presidential Scholarship and appreciated the boost for her educational objectives. Following her graduation at TJC, Amy graduated Summa cum Laude from North Texas State University. Amy was a retail manager with Sanger Harris-Foley’s-Macy’s for more than 25 years. The joy of her career was her job as director of Pre-School Ministries at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Dallas, where she was a member.

Established by her grandfather James C. Estes in 1999 to honor her achievements, this scholarship now serves as a memorial to Amy’s life. She passed away in 2012 after a three-year battle with cancer.
