Mastin G. White and Jack E. White, Jr. in honor of their parents
The Honorable Mastin G. White and Mr. Jack White were born to the Reverend J. E. White and Minnie Gentry White in East Texas in the early 1900’s. The brothers were both successful in East Texas and in Washington, DC. Mastin White served as a commissioner for the U.S. Claims Court. He received his law degree from Columbia University and doctorate in law from Harvard University. Jack White retired from the Atlantic Richfield Oil Company and served on the TJC Foundation board for many years. Jack and his wife Dorothy established more than 25 scholarships at TJC. They were instrumental in building the White Administrative Services Center on the main campus.
They established two honorary Presidential Scholarships in 1984. This one was to honor their dedicated, hardworking and loving parents.
