Richard and Carrie Tucker

Richard and Carrie Tucker established this legacy scholarship in 2006, to honor Richard’s parents, Andrew Lyon and Mary Jeannette Tucker. Richard is a TJC alum and has fond memories of playing basketball while attending. After college, Richard went to work in North Carolina for Hanes Corporation. A few years later, he was national sales
manager of five different companies in New York City. There, he met Carrie, who was a buyer from Atlanta.

Richard and Carrie were very successful business partners up until their retirement in 1988. He and Carrie are strong supporters of both education and TJC.
