Royce E. Wisenbaker, Sr.

Royce E. Wisenbaker, Sr.

In 1984, Royce Wisenbaker established the Mrs. Royce Wisenbaker Presidential Scholarship, in honor of his beloved wife Clorinda “Petey” Wisenbaker. Mr. Wisebaker was instrumental in establishing the first Presidential Scholarships at Tyler Junior College and can be credited with starting the program at Texas A&M University as well.

In 1990, he established a second Presidential Scholarship, the Royce E. Wisenbaker Presidential Honors Scholarship, to support worthy TJC students and further his philanthropic impact.

Though both Royce and Petey have passed away, their legacy remains. Their commitment and generosity can be traced all over Tyler. The Wisenbakers were true champions of their community, and in particular, education and health.
